Live Beyond Your Dreams, Sister!
"Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Eph 3:20
Do you ever struggle with knowing the will of God? Or even knowing if you should make "this" decision over "that" decision? Sometimes the fear of picking the wrong "thing" is enough to drive us crazy. Here's a sanity tip, 'God has bigger dreams for our lives than we do!' And what's more, is that he is able to bring them to fruition. When we can embrace his plans and dreams for ourselves, and hand over the reins, sanity seems to return in a unique, special way.

Hey Sister, Join Me In “Finding Our Roots!”
In today’s active, constant stream of sounds (music, media, voices) and distraction-filled culture, it can be a challenge to slow down and root deep into the soil of God’s peace. Are you finding ways to rest and lean into deepening moments with God? Do you desire to hear God’s voice in the midst of unsettling currents of chaos in our world? Do you wonder what it was like in an ancient and less cluttered time to experience God and His presence? Join me in gleaning from an early Christian tradition by “finding our roots'' in prayer through Lectio Divina–a prayerful, slow reading of scripture and quiet listening for God. We will give attention to and trust the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s love to us in a deeper way.
“For God alone my soul waits in silence” Ps 62:1
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
In quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Is 30:15
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him” Ps 37:7

Hey Sister, Lend Me Your Hand!
As women in this crazy world, we may struggle to grasp and understand our individual purpose especially when we play a lot of roles. How do we see clearly what God intends for us? How do we drown out the worldly neigh-sayers that try to distract us with their definition of what a woman should be? One way to clear up the muddy water is to explore the reason God created us as women to begin with. What does God say about our role as HELPER and whom do we truly reflect?
Genesis 2:18 The LORD said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” NIV

GOOD Grief, Sister!
It can be difficult to stay sane when so much crazy is happening all around us. And to amplify matters, becoming an empty-nester, getting married, facing the shadow of death, or starting a new career can leave us grieving for the familiar. When everything changes, it can leave us feeling like we're living in a foreign land. Just like Abraham, we are foreigners just passing through. But even as pilgrims we have a responsibility to our calling. And grieving is not bad but we don't want to stay there. We need to grieve in good, healthy ways and then "press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
“You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.” Deuteronomy 14:2

You Better Pick A Good One, Sister!
Ever heard a phrase like that before when you were single? I did. I heard it several times before I was married. It always came as a warning from married women, reminding me to be very careful when choosing a man to be my husband. But have you ever thought about choosing God to be your husband? The Bible clearly states that Yahweh is our husband. But what kind of husband is he? What kind of marital relationship does he offer? How will I benefit from being the wife
of Yahweh? How will choosing God to be my husband keep me sane in this crazy world?
“For your maker is your husband: the Lord of Hosts is his name…” Isaiah 54:5

Sister to Sister, Who's In Charge?
Sisters, are you willing to let go of resentments, disappointments (in ourselves and others), expectations, anger, envy, negative thoughts, anxiety…to experience “the peace of God which passes all understanding?” In this crazy, confusing, mixed-up culture and society where we live, we can learn how to turn each piece to Jesus and allow HIM to restore us to sanity. Let’s explore together the true meaning of how “to let it go” and allow HIS power to change us – from the inside out.

Sister, Yes you can!
Are your tips and tools going in one ear and out the other? It’s easy to get lost in our circumstances and emotion, instead of thinking clearly in the moment. This can lead to unhealthy decisions and patterns which can then create unhealthy cycles that make us feel stuck.
Learn what it is to pray in “Real Time” and to believe the truth we are able to walk in as believers. Learn to think and act differently by the power of the Holy Spirit in the moment. Know that prayer and the power of God's Word isn’t a far-away hope that we have to painfully doubt; instead, it's tangible and living to give you hope and assurance right now.
Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)
"For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
